Job description

Detailed

Objectives: a) Bringing 3 lakh hectares of land under fruit and vegetable crops under AOC certification.

b) Increasing the area of cultivable land under high-yielding varieties of crops by 2 lakh hectares.

c) Increasing the area of cultivable land under paddy, other grain crops, pulses, oilseeds and horticultural crops by 2 lakh hectares.

d) Increasing the area under irrigation by 1 lakh hectares under improved and efficient irrigation technology.

e) Making extension services, input subsidy assistance and credit assistance available through the “Krishak Smart Card” system.

f) Establishing accredited testing processes and advanced laboratories for testing agricultural products.

g) Providing training to 2000 youth and women agricultural entrepreneurs for agricultural services, agricultural innovation and agricultural commercialization.

h) To enhance research and development activities through new technologies and innovations for the development of extension systems and management evaluation systems of the institutions under the 13th Agricultural Development Plan. i) To form and operate at least 5 value chain promotion boards for specific agricultural products. j) To develop quality information management (agricultural statistics, domestic and international agricultural market research).
