The main activities of this project include:
Development of improved varieties of spices:
Under this project, improved varieties of various spices are developed and distributed among the farmers.
Technical assistance:
Farmers are trained on modern farming methods, use of fertilizers and pesticides, irrigation management and modern harvesting techniques.
Establishment of demonstration farms:
Under this project, demonstration farms are set up at different places, where farmers get the opportunity to use improved varieties of spices and modern technology.
Training and workshops:
Training and workshops are organized for farmers and field level officers, where they are given knowledge about the latest technology of spice cultivation.
Distribution of inputs:
High quality seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and other inputs are distributed among the farmers, which helps them in increasing their yield.
Marketing assistance:
Proper marketing of the produced spices and getting fair price is provided.
Increasing farmers' awareness:
This project aims to make farmers interested in spice cultivation and help them in their economic development.
